Repair Scars
Scars stand out against the rest of the skin because scar tissue is made of collagen cells rather than ordinary skin cells. As a result, scars are usually a different color, and do not have sweat glands or hair follicles. The severity of a scar depends on many factors, including the size and depth of the wound, the blood supply to the area, and the thickness and color of the skin. Some people – especially those with deeper skin tones – have a tendency to produce prominent, raised scars called keloids.
Scar treatment often depends on the type of scar, age of the scar, and the area the scar is in. Scars come in different types and many are treatable by microdermabrasion, laser, or long term topical applications. Complete scar removal is usually not possible. Even if surgically removed, the removal procedure will leave a scar. Usually the scar from a repair procedure is more aesthetically pleasing, but a scar still exists. In some case scars can be camouflaged using micropigmentation, also known as cosmetic tattooing. The implantation of natural toned pigments helps to camouflage or blend some types of scars in with the surrounding tissue. This procedure usually takes 3-4 treatments initially, with an occasional touch up every 3-7 years.
Cover-Up, Make-Up, Corrective, Concealers
For scars that occur across the natural creases of the skin, revision to align the scar with the natural lines helps to diminish its appearance.
Scar revision can be done under local anesthesia ( an injection in the area of the scar ) or general anesthesia ( be put to sleep ) depending on the severity. General anesthesia carries a higher risk of side effects.
Occasional complications of a scar revision procedure include infection, worsening of the scar, numbness, pain, bleeding.
Some scars can be reduced through a non surgically simple procedure called micropigmentation treatment. This is essentially cosmetic tattooing, and the scar has pigments applied to blend it in the the surrounding tissue. This is also referred to as camouflaging. Ask your physician which is best for your type of scar.
Fact: No scar will completely disappear. All scars are permanent and the best that can be hoped for is an improvement in the appearance of the scar.

Body Cream for Scars and Stretch Marks - not for use on the face
Recommended for the treatment of stretch marks, scars, and back and chest acne. It is not recommended for facial application because it contains a higher content of our biological active ingredient, Helix Aspersa Muller Glycoconjugates than do BIOSKINCARE or BIOSKINCLEAR. This difference results in a thicker cream that leaves behind a thin protective film on the applied area. This thicker consistency is beneficial for occluding the area and keeping in moisture for a longer period of time, making the cream more effective in dissolving scars. However, its one disadvantage is that it is incompatible with make-up and may leave a thin milky looking film on your face that will quickly flake-off creating an unappealing effect.
